Summer school “Equality and Citizenship”

The Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka and the Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Rijeka are hosting a summer school in political philosophy “Equality and Citizenship” that will be held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka from 10.-14. of July 2019. Some of the events will be held off-campus in downtown Rijeka and Opatija.

Invitation to a workshop in philosophy of Psychiatry

We invite you to a workshop in philosophy of psychiatry that will be held on Monday 10.6.2019. at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka. The key note speaker is professor Derek Bolton (King’s College London).

The talks in the workshop will cover the topics of the recently published book by Derek Bolton (King’s College, London) and Grant Gillett (University of Otago) titled “The Biopsychosocial Model of Health and Disease” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019, open access).

The workshop is organized as part of the acitivities of the project Responding to antisocial personalities in a democratic Society (project RAD, funded by the Croatian Science Foundation)

Here you can see the program of the conference “Contemporary Philosophical Issues” that is co-organized by the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka (University of Rijeka) and the Croatian Society for Analytic Philosophy.

The conference will take place on Tuesday and Friday 16-17th of May at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka.
