Conference announcement: Between Past and Present: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Emotions

We inform you that the international conference “Between Past and Present: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Emotions“ will be held on 18-19 October at the Grand Hall (Velika dvorana) Mother of Croatia, Strossmayerov trg 4 or Ulica Matice Hrvatske 2, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia.
The conference is organized by the Institute of Philosophy (Zagreb), the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Matica hrvatska, and the Centre for the Study of Emotions in Cross-cultural Exchange (Zagreb). This event is also supported by the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education.

The conference will be held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka from 10.-13. September 2018. starting at 9am in room 006.

Invitation to a lecture and a workshop with José Luis Bermúdez

We invite You to a lecture by José Luis Bermúdez entitled “What can philosophy contribute to cognitive science?” that will be held on Friday 14.09.2018 at 11.15, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science in Rijeka, Sveučilišna avenija, 4, Room 401 (IV. floor)

After the talk there will a Q&A session and a workshop with Prof. José Luis Bermúdez’s and academic staff and philosophy doctoral students on his recent book: Understanding “I” Language and Thought. Oxford University Press, 2017.

The event should be of special interest to doctoral students and early career researchers in philosophy and interdisciplinary areas who want to gain the relevant skills for working in interdisciplinary areas of philosophy and cognitive sciences.

Invitation to a two-day workshop “Modelling the predictive brain”

Project CEASCRO and the CSAP invite you to a two-day workshop “Modelling the predictive brain”, which will be held on Thursday (12.7.2018.) and Friday (13.7.2018) at the Faculty of Humanities and Scoial Sciences in Rijeka. Room 401.

The workshop will be led by professor Christoph Mathys (Sissa, Trieste).
