Link to the petition against shutting down the Philosophy at Croatian Studies

The Croatian Society for Analytic Philosophy would like to offer support to our colleagues and members from the Department of philosophy in the Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb. This is one of the best philosophy departments in the country. The potential shut down of the Department would be a terrible loss for philosophy in Croatia.

Our statement of support can be read here (in Croatian).

For a history of events that led to reducing the enrollment quota to zero for the Department of philosophy in Croatian Studies and for reasons why we should preserve that philosophy study, see the entry at Daily Nous.

Here you can sign the petition against closing down the Department of philosophy in the Croatian Studies.

AN OPEN LETTER FROM THE FACULTY MEMBERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY IN THE CROATIAN STUDIES

Faculty members of the Department of philosophy in the Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb on 6.2.2017. sent an open letter to the Head of the Croatian Studies and Scientific and teaching board of the Croatian Studies. In the letter they direct attention to the problems they are facing in their work, which they have not been able to solve through the standard bodies of their institution, because of which they are now addressing the expert community and public in general. Many Department teachers are our members. Thus, we as a professional philosophical association, support their endeavors and convey their letter.
The letter can be read here (in Croatian).
